Agricultural Economics Society one-day conference:
“Outlook for the UK Food and Farming Sector”
The theme of this year’s conference has been chosen to tie in with Ministers’ 25-year strategy for food and farming and Minister Eustice will make some opening remarks to the conference.
Topics for discussion in the morning session will focus on the outlook for international agricultural markets, economic & environmental prospects for the UK sector as well as threats and opportunities at the farm-level.
The afternoon session will discuss issues related to the wider UK food sector including UK trade in food, a ‘case study’ of prospects for the UK dairy industry and the future of agri-food value chains. See the draft Agenda for more details.
