It is with deep regret that the Society has learned of the death on 5th March of Emeritus Professor John McInerney (Exeter), OBE, former President of the Agricultural Economics Society (1996-1997) and recipient of the Society's Award for Excellence for outstanding contribution to the profession. An obituary will be published in due course in the Journal of Agricultural Economics.
