The Animal Welfare Evidence Team (within Defra) supports animal welfare policy makers, both in Defra, and the devolved governments of Scotland and Wales, by managing and commissioning research projects to address evidence gaps.
Following a review of our requirement pipeline, and the associated procurement strategies, we have identified that for certain projects which we hope to commission, the use of the Crown Commercial Services, Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) framework (RM6018 – Research Marketplace) would be the most suitable route to be used. This would result in a mini-competition on the framework, using only the suppliers registered on this framework.
If you are interested in hearing of, and submitting bids for research opportunities via this framework, we invite you to look at the list of registered suppliers to confirm if your institution is on there. If they are not, then the registration process can take up to 3 weeks to complete, we would encourage interested parties to consider registering and applying to join the Crown Commercial Services DPS, to enable them to be considered for certain future research opportunities.
