  08/02/2026

The Agricultural Economics Society and the European Association of Agricultural Economists are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Rob Ackrill as the new Editor-in-Chief of EuroChoices. He will take up the role in July 2026, succeeding Professor John Davis.

Rob will lead EuroChoices into an exciting new phase, building on the journal’s strong reputation for accessible, policy-relevant scholarship at the interface between research and practice. He is particularly committed to strengthening the journal’s role in connecting academic insight with policy debates, and to further developing the distinctive writing styles that make EuroChoices engaging and influential across diverse audiences.

Rob brings extensive expertise in EU, agricultural, and rural policy, alongside a long-standing relationship with EuroChoices and a clear vision for its future direction. He is Professor Emeritus in Economics and Policy at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University.

Further details on editorial priorities and opportunities to engage with the journal will follow.
